About Café Elm
Café Elm is a family-run, independent coffee shop nestled in the heart of Longelevens. We’re passionate about creating a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels at home – whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee, meeting friends for brunch, or celebrating a special occasion.
We serve fresh, made-to-order food alongside a delicious selection of homemade bakes and cakes, all lovingly prepared in-house. From hearty breakfasts to sweet treats, there’s something for every taste.

Meet our team
Meet Julie
Julie has been with us from day one and is often the first face you’ll see — always wearing her big, welcoming smile. She’s bubbly, friendly, and makes everyone feel right at home.
Julie is especially known for serving up some of the best coffee, always made with care (and a lot of love!).
Fun Fact: She hates eating mushrooms but loves taking pics of them and hunting for them on her spontaneous walks.
Meet Ro
Ro joined our team in March 2025 on a part-time basis while working another job, but it didn’t take long for her to realise Café Elm was the place for her. A couple of months later, she made the move to full-time.
Ro has a big passion for cooking and loves getting creative with new dishes in the kitchen. While she prefers being behind the scenes, she’s always happy to jump in and help wherever she’s needed.
Fun Fact: Although Ro is very dedicated, professional and puts a lot of love into each dish, she is very clumsy and tends to drop things regularly.
Meet Alice
Alice joined the cafe in October 2024 and has been part-time working ever since. Her passion for a long time was baking, but hadn’t done it for years. When she joined Cafe Elm, Alice’s passion for baking was ignited again.
She enjoys all things crafty, and uses her creative mind in decorating occasion cakes and makes the best cupcakes and butter icing. Our bakery is called Alice's bakery as she the best baker out of us all.
Fun Fact: Alice doesn’t like eating cake, she just likes baking them for everyone else to enjoy
Meet Ella
Ella joined Café Elm in October 2024 and is our longest-serving teen team member. You’ll usually find her working on Saturdays, helping out in the kitchen and delivering food orders to our customers with care. Ella also loves assisting with children’s parties, which fits perfectly with her dream of becoming a teacher once she finishes her second year of sixth form.
With her lovely smile and gentle nature, Ella may be a little shy, but she has truly flourished and grown in confidence since joining the team.
Fun Fact: Ella only drinks water - absolutely nothing else, and is very intelligent!
Meet Gracie
Gracie joined Café Elm in September 2025 and is our newest recruit. She is currently a full-time student studying a beauty course and works with us on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Gracie has fitted in wonderfully and has quickly become a great asset to the team. She’s learned lots of valuable life skills, is always willing to try new things, and brings a positive attitude to every shift. With a big passion for dogs, she’s always delighted when a furry friend walks through the café doors.
Fun Fact: Despite not hiring at the time, she was so persistent on getting a job with us that we eventually took her on. That persistence paid off when another team member left shortly after and Gracie was able to take on regular hours.
Meet Leanne
Leanne became the owner of Café Elm on the 1st of April 2024 and, from day one, poured her heart and vision into building it from the ground up. What started as a blank canvas has grown into the award-winning café it is today, a true reflection of her dedication, creativity, and high standards. As a boss, Leanne is supportive, approachable, and always willing to listen. She values her team’s input and takes it on board, creating a positive and inclusive workplace where everyone feels heard and appreciated. This has made Café Elm not just a great place to visit, but a great place to work too.
Fun Fact: Although Leanne is a self-confessed clean freak, she happily makes an exception for her Goldendoodle… who is allowed on her bed!
